Official Document Registration

When you relocate to Cyprus, you will need to find a way to stay in Cyprus on a legal basis. Whether it is 'yellow slip' or 'pink slip' - a registration with the Alien and Immigration office. If you decide to work - a social number and a TIN number will be required. In some cases, you will need a work permit.

Finding your GP, GESY (healthcare system) Registration. If you are a resident of the government-controlled areas - you qualify for Gesy:

Buying a car, getting the driving license

Finding a school and kindergarten

All children, ages 5-18 years old, in Cyprus have a right to attend school for free, regardless of nationality or status. Please note that parents are obliged to enroll their children in school if not the Police and/or Social Welfare Service will intervene. Education is divided into pre-primary, primary, secondary, and higher education. Education in Cyprus is free of charge. However, there are many private schools and kindergartens around the island.
